On my feet for fall. (Not all at the same time.)
I refused to even believe that summer would ever end until this weekend when I went out in totally weather appropriate clothing and by the time I left the bars to walk home at around 4, I was completely under dressed. Fall is coming, if I like it or not. I woke up the next morning consumed with thoughts of squishy, soft layers, suede boots, wool tights, big hats and puffy jackets. Seasonal shopping. Must control it. Can not control it.
I promptly ordered the Chinese Laundry Turbo boots. 22 inches of over the knee boot. Never quite got around to measuring my legs so I don't know if I will look like I am being slowly eaten by boot, but figured I'd just roll the dice on that one. No risk, no reward. Other things that I would like to jockey for precious foot time:

1. Jeffrey Campbell Ruffle Platform, $135 at Urban Outfitters. I tried the Steve Madden version and I checked out the TopShop ones, but I'm trying to be realistic here. This body is falling apart and the old knees don't like the extreme heights for work days. 3 and some change is about as high as I can go for eight hours.
2. Jeffrey Campbell Sistahs, $124 at Lori's Shoes. Can't get enough of this faux Gucci studding that is popping up everywhere. Want these for bare legs and over leggings and under skinny jeans. Total rockers. Is what I would say if I were James Iha. And liked these shoes.
3. B Store Point Oxfords, $324 at La Garconne. I'm really feeling the pointy oxfords these days. I never do a pointy toe, a combination of thinking it looks trashy and also that it makes me feet look unproportionately long for my body. But these... I just likes 'em. Gives a little carnivale, Mad Hatter type to edge to a conservative shoe.
4. Marc by Marc Jacobs Gold Booties, $469 at Zappos. They are ugly, I know. But sometimes there is a undeniable bond invisible to all others, but very real to you. It's called chemistry and you can't fight it.
5. Dolce Vita Sally Snake, $110 at Lori's Shoes. It's a "stylish loafer to wear sockless with jeans for a casual look." Well. I like a casual look.
6. Murtle Glitter Pump, $45 at TopShop. Clearly not a pump. But they were spot on with the glitter part of the description.
Just so we all crystal clear, I am REALLY feeling charcoaly black, bootie-ish heels, some sort of ruffling on the front, and can be worn to the office and out at night. Por ejamplo:
7. Shuffle Tassle TBar, $150 at TopShop.
8. Foldover Canvas Wedge, $40 at Urban Outfitters.
9. Sicily Frill Boot, $140 at TopShop.
