I think it's a little of both. My pal, Julie, was telling me last night about ban.do. They make some wacky head ornaments. I am really liking some of them, but there a couple that just look like you strapped a loofah to your head. Not in a good way.

My favorites are the ones with fringe-y sequins dangling down the back and the delicate sparkly guys with feathers. I also really like the idea of using the white ones as veil alternatives for a wedding. They run from about $85 to upwards of couple hundo and seem like that while it might make a good DIY project, the beauty is in lot of the details. Almost everything on them is vintage, very loved and one of a kind.
